Russian FM makes stand against history distortion
November 20, 2022Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov made a stand against the distortion of history in his recent article.
The article said that acts of rewriting history to justify the bloody crimes of Nazis and their accomplices are getting more serious in some European countries.
It disclosed that such acts are aimed not only at slandering present-day Russia which succeeded the Soviet Union but also at re-examining the officially recognized international legal decisions on the Second World War including the judgment by the Nuremberg international military tribunal.
The Russian Foreign Ministry will continue to uncompromisingly fight to defend historical truth and hand it down to younger generations and will never tolerate the acts of impairing the honour of Soviet soldiers, victorious wartime generation, the article emphasized.
