Chinese FM censures Japanese prime minister’s provocative remarks

May 21, 2023

A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry denounced the Japanese prime minister’s provocative remarks related to China in a press conference on May 16.

Rejecting Japanese Prime Minister Kishida’s recent remarks blaming China and Russia for unilaterally changing the current situation by relying on their strength, he said that Japan instigates confrontation between camps, harming the interests of the region.

The Japanese ruling circles are stubbornly glorifying their country’s history of aggression and raising the spirits of militarism, claiming that “emergency in Taiwan is that of Japan”, he said, disclosing that it is just an attempt to change the current situation.

And he strongly demanded that Japan honestly reflect upon its history of militarist aggression instead of vainly attempting to reverse the flow of history.
