Western Europe is going under, said Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, on February 3.

She said so as to the remarks of the Ukrainian President that Russia has started to adapt itself quickly to sanctions, whereas the speed of enforcing anti-Russia sanctions has decreased in Europe.

Deriding western Europe, which has lost its viability a long time ago and is thus being on the wane, as sinking, she stressed that the Soviet people had rescued such western Europe in a fix last century.
