A colourful programme of events took place in Russia between February 8 and 17 to mark the 81st anniversary of the birth of Chairman Kim Jong Il, including a seminar on his exploits, meeting and book and photo exhibition.

They were attended by personages of the Maritime Territorial administration, the Foreign Ministry, the Party for Peace and Unity, the Khabarovsk Territorial and Amur Regional branch committees of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the association for the study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism of Blagoveshchensk and other government organs, political parties, institutions and organizations of Russia and other people.

Speeches were made at the events.

Congratulatory messages to General Secretary Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held at the Tynda city association for the study of the Juche idea and a middle school in Khabarovsk City.
