The National Salvation Front of Russia released a statement on August 20 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's historic visit to the Far Eastern Region of the Russian Federation.

The statement said that the Chairman's visit to the Far Eastern Region provided a firm foundation for developing the traditional Russia-DPRK friendly relations onto a higher level as required by the new century.

It extended firm support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for carrying out the great tasks set forth by the Workers' Party of Korea.
