The 52nd sports contest of artistes took place at the Basketball Gymnasium on Chongchun Street in Pyongyang on November 29.
At the sports contest held divided into fields of cinematic and theatrical arts various sports were played such as basketball, volleyball, table tennis, tug of war and ssirum (Korean wrestling) and amusement games as well.
The contest was watched by Jo Kyong Jun, deputy department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Sung Jong Gyu, minister of Culture, Jong Yong Nam, director-general of the National Administration of Motion Picture Industry, officials, creators, artistes, lecturers, researchers and students of the field of art and culture and officials concerned.
The field of theatrical art led the cinematic art field in total standings.
