46th candlelight rally staged in south Korea
July 5, 2023The 46th large-scale candlelight rally and demonstration demanding the resignation of traitor Yoon Suk Yeol were staged in Seoul on July 1.
Tens of thousands of people from different parts took part in the candlelight rally on the theme of "Oust Yoon Suk Yeol, a conspirator to the discharge of nuclear waste water!"
There were prior meetings in different parts of Seoul.
The participants said that only when Yoon is ousted, can the sovereignty be defended and the people live in peace, shouting such slogans as "Let us drive out Yoon Suk Yeol, a conspirator to the discharge of nuclear waste!" "Let us expel Yoon Suk Yeol, a vindicator of the dictatorship by prosecution and pro-Japanese traitor!" and "Yoon Suk Yeol is a traitorous force. Let us oust Yoon Suk Yeol!"
At the rally speakers disclosed the sinister intention of the puppet Yoon group getting hell-bent on the war drills.
They denounced Yoon for kowtowing to Japan which seeks a chance for reinvasion while resorting to the moves to seize Tok Islets, far from repenting of its past crimes including the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.
They vowed to oust traitor Yoon without fail through an undaunted struggle, charging that though the issue of the discharge of nuclear waste water is a serious one for the people on this land, he is actively conspiring with Japan.
The participants staged a demonstration, holding such slogan boards and posters as "Candlelight wins" and "Impeach rotten Yoon", after performing a symbolic ceremony for sticking cards of nuclear waste on the lips of traitor Yoon and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) launched an all-out general strike for the "resignation of the Yoon regime".
The KCTU called a press conference in Seoul on July 3 and stressed that 1.2 million members would rise up and drive out the Yoon regime.
That day the KCTU held press conferences in 15 places across the region of puppets, including Inchon, Pusan, Kwangju, Ulsan and Taejon, and declared that it would go into the struggle for the resignation of Yoon to protect the rights to existence of the trade unions and workers.
The puppet regime is openly attempting to suppress the struggle by mobilizing about 9 300 police troops of 155 units.
Media said that the people's passion for the resignation of Yoon is growing stronger and people from all walks of life have joined the struggle for his resignation, irrespective of differences in ideology, political view and understanding.
