You should be done by what you did to others, WPK CC department spokesman says

June 21, 2020

“Before belatedly clamouring for principle against any violation, the south Korean authorities should have looked back on who first committed and connived at what kind of act as they lit the fuse of the north-south conflict and who aggravated the situation to this critical phase,” said a spokesman for the United Front Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on Saturday.

The statement came after the Ministry of Unification of south Korea expressed its "regret" at the DPRK’s plan for scattering leaflets towards the south as they branded it a clear violation of the inter-Korean agreement on the same day.

It is not that we do not know the leaflet scattering is a breach of the north-south agreement, but we simply do not have any intent to reconsider or change our plan now that inter-Korean relations have already broken down, he clarified.

Saying the whole world already knows the details of the "balloon incident", he urged the south Korean authorities to no longer talk about the agreement that has already been reduced to a scrap of paper.

The retaliatory leaflet-scattering campaign which is in the pipeline according to the will of all the DPRK people will neither be bound by any agreement or principle nor be reconsidered, he said, adding that only when they experience the same thing will the south Korean authorities be able to understand our disgust at that even a bit and clearly realize how offensive it was for us.
