An enlarged plenary meeting of the Cabinet Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea took place on March 15 to implement the decisions of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

Premier Kim Tok Hun, who is also member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, and Ri Yong Sik, chief secretary of the Cabinet Party committee, guided the meeting.

Present there were members and alternate members of the Cabinet Party committee, with officials concerned attending as observers.

The meeting reviewed the Cabinet work for the first year of implementing the programme for the rural revolution in the new era and discussed the measures for strictly carrying out the policy-oriented tasks facing the Cabinet and state economic organs on the basis of the important guidelines formulated and set forth at the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
