Women’s union meets for plenumFebruary 3, 2023
An enlarged meeting of the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea was held on February 1 through videoconferencing.
It was attended by members and alternate members of the SWUK Central Committee.
Present there as observers were officials of the SWUK Central Committee and those of provincial, city and county women’s union committees.
The meeting discussed such issues as of thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
In her keynote speech Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the SWUK, analysed and reviewed in detail the work of women’s union organizations to implement the important tasks set forth at the Eighth Congress of the WPK and plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee and referred to the measures to enhance the role of the women’s union in the struggle of this year.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
Speakers expressed their resolve to notch up tangible successes by fully displaying extraordinary revolutionary enthusiasm and patriotic devotion in the struggle to bring about a turning point for a new upsurge in socialist construction, cherishing the trust of the Party which projects the women as a powerful force pushing one of the two wheels of the revolutionary chariot.
A relevant decision was adopted at the meeting.
