Folklore park inaugurated in Nampho
December 6, 2022A folklore park was built in Ryonggang County, Nampho, as a nice resting place for the people.
The Ryonggang Folklore Park is divided into the district for education in history comprising historical sites and relics including the house and grave of Kim Ung So who performed great feats in defeating the Japanese invaders during the Imjin Patriotic War and the folk games district consisting of a folk dance ground, archery range and swinging, ssirum (Korean wrestling) and seesawing grounds.
Its inaugural ceremony took place on the spot on December 4.
It was attended by Kim Chol Man, secretary of the Nampho City Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials and working people of the city and builders.
Song Sung Chol, chairman of the Nampho City People’s Committee, made an inaugural speech.
After the ceremony the participants looked round the park.
