Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed the West’s criticism that Russia is trying to destabilize the situation in the capitals of the UK and other European countries at a press conference held at the end of the BRICS summit on October 24. 

The instability in the European Union is the result of the wrong policy of European high-ranking officials, he said, adding that such accusations are an attempt to shift on others the blame for their wrong decisions in domestic policies including those in the economic field.

He also said that the expansion of NATO jeopardizes the security of Russia and there is no impartiality here, and therefore Russia is trying to change such a situation and will do so, he declared.
