The games in the general field (category of ministries and national agencies) for the 14th National People's Games began on March 9.

The participants in the games of the general field will compete in basketball (man), badminton, shooting, Taekwon-Do and other events, divided into four groups.

In the men's basketball and Taekwon-Do events held at Pyongyang Indoor Stadium and the Taekwon-Do Holy House, the players have displayed sports techniques and the sense of organization and solidarity of the teams they cultivated in the days of mass sports activities.

The Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Ministry of Grain Administration, the Unha Trade Bureau and the Academy of Agricultural Science took first place in each group of the shooting event held at the Meari Shooting Gallery on March 12-13.

Cups and medals were awarded to the teams and players that proved successful.
