Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Aleksandr Lukashenko, president of the Republic of Belarus, on September 9.

In the message the Belarus president extended sincere congratulations to Kim Jong Un on the founding anniversary of the DPRK, the national holiday.

The Korean people have so far proved their steadfast collective will and aspirations for independence on several occasions, the message said, adding:

The whole world witnesses the DPRK advancing proudly along the road of independent development.

Belarus is pleased with the dialogue with the DPRK developing at all levels.

The Belarus president expressed belief that Minsk and Pyongyang would make rapid progress in the work for promoting practical mutual cooperation in agricultural, public health, pharmaceutical, educational and other fields.

He wished Kim Jong Un good health and success in his state activities, and the people of the DPRK progress, stability and wellbeing.
