Young men and women in Kangwon Province have volunteered to work in difficult and labour-consuming sectors of socialist construction.

Members of the youth league in Munchon City and Phyonggang, Chonnae and Thongchon counties volunteered to work at city and county construction brigades.

Young people in Changdo and Kumgang counties vowed to work at raw materials base stations and farms.

Those in Wonsan City and Hoeyang, Kimhwa and Phangyo counties decided to work at road- and pass-maintaining workteams.

A meeting was held at the Songdowon Youth Open-air Theatre on October 29 to congratulate those volunteers.

Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials and youth and students. The volunteers were awarded certificates of volunteering. A congratulatory address and speeches were made.

Officials and youth and students presented bouquets to the volunteers leaving for new workplaces and encouraged them.
