The national exhibition of successes in informatization-2026 closed with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang on October 30.

During the exhibition, advanced experiences were shared and transferred through an AI products contest, robot contest, programming contest, contest among the units producing IT products including digital TVs and smart phones, sci-tech presentation and lecture on IT, and exchanges were conducted to introduce ultra-modern technology.

Present at the closing ceremony were Kim Sung Du, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned and officials and working people of the exhibiting units.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the South Hamgyong Provincial Communications Management Bureau, the Unsan Paper Mill, the Jongphyong County Leisure Complex, the Okryu Restaurant and other units were selected as the 2026 top ten model units in informatization. The AI Technology Institute of the AI Faculty of Kim Il Sung University, the IT Institute of Kim Chaek University of Technology, the IT Institute of the Ministry of Railways, the Chongsong Electronic Trade Company, the Pyongyang Kwangmyong IT Centre and others were selected as the 2026 ten best IT enterprises.

Certificates, cups and medals of the 2026 ten best IT products were awarded to the intelligent integrated production system of the Samgwang Livestock Farm and the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, the hydro-meteorological integrated information system and other IT products.

Diplomas, pennants, certificates and prizes were awarded to the ministries, national agencies and people's committees at all levels which took the lead in the development of the information industry and the exemplary units and participants which made positive contributions to informatization.
