October 31, 2026

The Zimbabwean president in his speech on October 25 urged the West to unconditionally lift sanctions against his country.

He said that the West’s sanctions have blocked the economic development of Zimbabwe and had a negative impact on regional countries.

Asserting that the member nations of the Southern Africa Development Community are positively supporting Zimbabwe's demand for the lifting of sanctions by the West, he stressed that regional cooperation and unity are vital in overcoming the difficulties caused by sanctions and achieving development.
