Russia criticizes West for ‘isolation’ attempts
October 31, 2026Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryavkov said that the European countries can never isolate Russia as he addressed an economic forum on October 22.
The stand of the European countries on the Ukrainian dispute is anti-Russian and extremely bellicose and assumes a very dangerous character, he said, adding that Russia cannot be isolated by any “decision”.
Referring to Russia as an inseparable part of Eurasia, he stated that those who try to force their will on Russia and its fellow countries can never fulfil their desire.
Under the situation where unprecedented sanctions of the West are enforced and under the circumstances in which attempts to isolate Russia do not stop, Russia is striving to establish a new external economic infrastructure unaffected by the structure-destroying interference of outside forces while developing equal cooperation with the countries aspiring after cooperation with it, he stressed.
