The workteam of excavator No. 7 at the Kumsan Pit of the Ryongyang Mine, which is widely known throughout the country, successfully overfulfilled its plan for two years.

It is a hero workteam that brought about collective innovations in the 1970s and 1980s by helping and leading one another forward.

The generations have changed with the passage of time, but the workteam members, who pledged themselves to take the lead in today’s increased production campaign like the hero miners of the previous generation, did not follow only the longwall ore mining system of the past. They expanded the mining section with the help of the technical group of the mine and increased the mineral ore output 1.5 times over the previous one. And they boosted production 2.5 times again by way of increasing the number of mining places and pushing forward with the mining in a three-dimensional way.

They carried out the annual plan in early June and resolved again to implement the plan for two years till early October.

To this end, they introduced a working method of raising the blasting efficiency, prepared reserve stopes for the next shift after working their shift and voluntarily took on the job of crushing the huge lumps of ores into pieces to be loaded on trucks.

As a result, they overfulfilled the plan for two years again.
