China condemns Yasukuni Shrine visit in Japan
October 24, 2026A spokesman for the Chinese embassy in Tokyo denounced Japanese politicians for their visits to the Yasukuni Shrine at a press conference on October 17.
As regards the fact that recently the Japanese Prime Minister and other politicians made offerings to and worshipped at the shrine, the spokesman branded it as an insult to history and justice and a provocation to the post-war international order.
He strongly urged Japan to have a correct understanding of and reflect on its history and thoroughly part from militarism while being prudent in its words and deeds in relation to the Yasukuni Shrine and other issues.
