Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ko Chun Som, a woman living in neighbourhood unit 22 in Jangdok-dong, Wonsan City, Kangwon Province, on her 100th birthday.

Receiving the birthday spread amid the congratulations of officials of the Party and power organs in Wonsan City and neighbours, the centenarian expressed heartfelt thanks to respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, deeply moved by the warm loving care of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea which respects the aged as revolutionary seniors and elders and takes good care of them.

She, born into a day labourer's family before the liberation of Korea, experienced the sorrow of a stateless nation. So she devoted herself to the struggle for increased grain production for decades with a resolve to repay the benevolence of the DPRK which put her forward as a master of land.
