Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko strongly rejected the Western false propaganda campaign at a recent conference with representatives of armed forces organs.

As to the Western countries’ spreading of misinformation that the inspection of the armed forces going on in Belarus was geared to preparing for attacks on neighbouring countries, he noted that Belarus is preparing for a war to avoid a war and it does not intend to attack anyone.

However, the West recently claimed through mass media that Russia might attack the Baltic states and Poland with the Belarus territory as a springboard, he accused.

He noted that Belarus should be prepared to cope with the most negative international situation, stressing that wartime calls for not only the whole armed forces but also the unity and cohesion of the state as a whole.
