General Secretary Kim Jong Un’s Revolutionary Activities

A performance was given with splendour at Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on October 10 in celebration of the 81st founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea, now that the people's absolute confidence in the WPK, the great guide and invincible vanguard for the Juche revolution, is growing stronger along with the significant October holiday.

The WPK is ushering in an era of dignity and glory, a long-cherished desire of all generations on this land, while firmly preserving its revolutionary character and true nature, never to be found in other parts of the world, for decades without any deviation and discolouring since the day when it solemnly declared its founding with the emblem representing the people engraved on the red flag held aloft in Paektu. The venue of the performance overflowed with deep reverence for the Party as the audience recollected with deep emotion the sacred founding history of the Party and its immortal exploits.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, watched the performance.

Stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" went up from the audience offering the highest glory and paying the highest tribute to Comrade Kim Jong Un, the great leader of the ever-victorious WPK and the symbol and representative of the dignity and mightiness of the DPRK.

Comrade Kim Jong Un warmly waved back to the enthusiastically cheering crowds as a token of his congratulations to all the participants on the Party founding day.

Among the audience were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, other leading officials of the Party and the government, officials of the Party Central Committee, ministries, national agencies and armed forces organs, creative and performing artistes, youth and students and other Pyongyang citizens.

Present there at invitation were diplomatic envoys and members of foreign missions in the country.

The performance began with prelude "Long Live the Workers' Party of Korea" and "Fly High, Our Party Flag". Put on the stage were a variety of numbers such as all-people hymns to the WPK and patriotic songs, played in good artistic harmony with vocal music, dance, acrobatics, gymnastics and ceremonial military band performance.

Enthusiastically singing the odes to the Party, produced by the sacred experiences of the people, the performers sang high praises of the glorious history and immortal exploits of the WPK which built on this land a dignified country, where the people's dreams and ideals come true, and which performed and brought about great world-startling miracles and changes from one century to the next and decade after decade, while hewing the untrodden path for the socialist cause, arduous yet sacred, for over 80 years.

The audience enthusiastically applauded the famous songs which made them feel proud of the greatness and mightiness of the WPK that has written the longest history as a ruling party in the world, while fulfilling the most righteous mission and implementing the noble idea, and which reminded them of their great honour and fortune of having the wise political General Staff confidently steering their cause straight to victory.

Performers continued to stage other colourful numbers representing the ardent aspirations and enthusiasm of the people determined to realize the far-reaching ambition for the comprehensive development of socialism, single-mindedly supporting their motherly Party.

The performance, which ended with the finale "The National Anthem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea", added to the conviction and optimism that the path followed by the DPRK is always the one of justice and truth and its future is eternally beautiful and bright as it is led by the great WPK.

The performance was highly acclaimed by the audience as it was replete with the songs of unshakable faith and patriotism which are inexhaustible forever.

Expressing satisfaction at the successful performance, Comrade Kim Jong Un warmly waved back to the performers and audience.

The performance added to the joy of all the people celebrating the birthday of the great motherly Party, the most sacred and glorious holiday.
