Pak Myong Jin wins gold medals at 20th Asian Games
September 27, 2026DPRK weightlifter Pak Myong Jin bagged gold medals in the men's weightlifting of the 20th Asian Games.
On September 24, he lifted 146kg in snatch, 182kg in clean and jerk (a new record of the Asian Games) and 328kg in total (a new record of the Asian Games), thus winning first place in the men's 65kg category.
Meanwhile, DPRK weightlifter Pang Un Chol and gymnast An Chang Ok won silver medals in the men's weightlifting 60kg category and the women's vaulting horse of artistic gymnastics respectively.
DPRK players also came third in the women's team events of table tennis and artistic gymnastics.
