Ri Song Gum lifted 94kg in snatch (new world, Asian and Asian Games records), 121kg in jerk (new world, Asian and Asian Games records) and 215kg in total (new world, Asian and Asian Games records) to win the women’s weightlifting 49kg title on September 23.
Kang Hyon Gyong also bagged gold medals in the women's weightlifting 53kg category with the lift of 99kg in snatch (new Asian Games record), 124kg in jerk (new Asian Games record) and 223kg in total (new Asian Games record).
Meanwhile, Ri Jin Mi and Ri So Hyang were placed second and third in the women's singles of softball tennis.
