A national sci-tech presentation in the coal industry sector took place at Phyongsong University of Coal Mining Industry on September 22 and 23 under the sponsorship of the Korean Association of Coal Industry under the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The presentation, held on the theme of “Sci-tech guarantee for increasing coal production”, was aimed at widely disseminating and generalizing sci-tech achievements which can decisively increase coal production.

Submitted to the presentation attended by officials, scientists and technicians from over 20 units, including the Ministry of Coal Industry, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering, Sariwon University of Geology and Kanggye College of Technology, were more than 80 valuable papers for revitalizing production in the coal industry sector.

Proposals substantially conducive to accelerating the technical upgrading of the coal industry and increasing production in the sector were highly appreciated.

During the presentation there was a lecture on a rational coal-mining method based on iron props.
