Exemplary coal miners’ tour of Pyongyang started in May this year.

The tour has been arranged in several terms for the coal miners who registered good results in production in different parts of the country.

According to Kim Sun Sil, a staffer of the Ministry of Coal Industry, the annual Pyongyang tour for the miners is another state benefit for them and the state bears all expenses related to the tour.

After visiting different places in Pyongyang, the miners spend a pleasant time at the bases for cultural and leisure activities and public catering establishments in the capital city, including the Munsu Water Park, Rungna People’s Recreation Ground and Chongnyu Restaurant.

Receiving warm congratulations and hospitality everywhere, they say with excitement that they feel great pride in being coal miners.

Those from the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine, who had met respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at their coal mine on this year’s election day, said that they hardened their resolve to work harder as they spent pleasant days on Pyongyang tour.

“We have often said so far that the country can become civilized and prosperous only when we mine lots of coal. However, I grasped afresh the meaning of the words during this tour. I will work harder for this excellent system bringing the people happiness and laughter,” said Choe Un Ryong, deputy manager of the Jungbong Coal Mine under the Onsong Area Coal-mining Complex.

The miners never stop taking photos in order to record the unforgettable days in Pyongyang as precious memories.

After returning to their lodgings in the evening, they hold cheerful recreation parties and share their impressions of visits.

Kim Sun Sil said with deep emotion, “Some days, those from different coal mines stay up until late at night to have discussions in search of reserves for increased production, while sharing the experience they gained in production. Indeed, the coal miners are genuine patriots supporting the country in deep coalfaces.”

Looking round new streets in Pyongyang during the tour, the coal miners also picture the future of their coal-mining villages which will soon be transformed splendidly.
