Russian President Vladimir Putin announced in an interview held on September 11 during his visit to India that the Ukrainian crisis was caused by the West’s blunders.

All incidents which occur now in Europe are attributable to the systematic mistakes committed by the West in the fields of politics, security and the economy, he said.

He noted that it is an error of the West dreaming of world domination to believe that it can do anything at will and never makes a mistake, thinking that it became an “emperor” after the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Such an error started to snowball, he said, adding that the West used the Caucasian terrorists and separatists at first in order to press the Russian Federation and is now instigating the Ukrainian neo-Nazi regime.

Actually, the West planned to bring down Russia by directly supporting the Caucasian separatists and the Ukrainian crisis today was also caused by the West, he asserted.

Though Russia said repeatedly that it can never tolerate the eastward expansion of NATO, the expansion reached Ukraine after all, and after staging the bloody coup d’état in Ukraine, the West set a goal of involving the country in NATO, which finally became the cause of the present tragic Ukrainian crisis, he added.

The rulers of the West, who dream of world domination, are to blame for the coup d’état, he stressed.
