Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Ri Son Nyo, a wartime meritorious woman in neighbourhood unit 82 of Sangsin-dong, Sosong District of Pyongyang, on her 100th birthday.

Receiving the birthday spread amid the congratulations of officials of the Party and power organs in the district, family members and relatives and neighbours, the centenarian expressed her gratitude to respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

She was born into the family of a casual labourer and suffered all sorts of maltreatment and contempt before Korea's liberation. After the national liberation, she took the lead in building a new country in response to the patriotic call of President Kim Il Sung and devoted herself to the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

She discharged her duty in her job in a responsible manner for decades, playing her role as a good revolutionary senior and educator and encouraging her descendants to do more good things for the beloved motherland.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un called her, who has been faithful to the Party and the revolution and trained her children into reliable pillars of the country, to national conferences of war veterans and presented her with gifts of love.
