The Russian Federal Security Service announced on September 10 that they arrested a spy on the payroll of the Ukrainian security service who gathered information about British diplomats.

According to it, the spy had worked at an agency for guarding the British embassy in Russia and collected information on the identities and photos of British diplomats, the security system of the embassy, etc. in accordance with the directives of the Ukrainian security service.

The Federal Security Service disclosed that the Ukrainian authorities schemed to commit terrorist acts against the British ambassador and other diplomats by using such information and pass the buck to the Russian government. 

The aim was to draw the UK into a direct armed conflict with Russia, receive additional weapons in aid and get the country to further intensify sanctions and pressure against Russia, the Federal Security Service revealed.

It stressed that the supporters of Ukraine including the UK should know that the Zelensky authorities do not hesitate to commit subversive and terrorist acts against their allies for their own survival, he stressed.
