The Ryongsong Machine Complex, a leading large-scale machine-building base, is boosting the production of custom-built equipment to be sent to metallurgical and chemical industries.

This year the complex produced dozens of pieces of custom-built equipment and parts of over ten kinds. It shortened the period of casting production by more than half as compared to previously and reduced per-unit material consumption by 15 percent.

In particular, it introduced a modelling technique based on a 3D sand printer to ensure the surface smoothness of castings at a high level and remarkably increase the actual yield as compared to previously. 

It is speeding up the assembly of an efficient five-spindle digital machining centre after finishing the processing of its parts in a short period, while expanding the success in making the precision manufacturing section of machine tools automated and intelligent.

The production of custom-built equipment for the coal industry is also in full swing.

The Taean Electrical Appliances Factory is increasing production in quality and quantity while qualitatively processing the rotor axes of electric motors and others by improving the performance of equipment and making an effective use of various jigs and equipment pieces.

The Ranam Coal-mining Machine Factory has successfully carried out its production assignments by dint of science and technology. In particular, it devised and introduced a plan for ensuring the safety of the 300hp winch brake system.

In addition, the Pyongyang Mining Machine Factory, the Anju Pump Factory and other units are notching up success in the production of custom-built equipment while taking practical measures to upgrade production processes and improve the quality and productivity of goods.
