Chinese Ministry of Commerce condemns US’ sanctions
September 8, 2026A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce of China at a press conference on September 3 denounced the US’ sanctions against the country.
He expressed deep dissatisfaction at and strong opposition to the US’ imposition of sanctions against a Chinese business and citizen on several occasions for unjustifiable reasons, despite China’s repeated protest.
Noting that the unilateral sanctions of the US constitute an interference in the normal economic and trade activities among nations, he strongly demanded the US immediately set right its wrong behaviour and withdraw the sanctions.
China will firmly defend the just and legitimate rights and interests of its businesses and citizens, he stressed.
