DPRK men's football team qualified for 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup
September 8, 2026Group C qualifying matches for the 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup finals took place in Vietnam.
The forthcoming Asian Cup will bring together eight teams which came first in group matches, seven teams with high points among those that came second, and the host country team.
The male players of the DPRK defeated their Vietnamese counterparts 3-0 in the first match and the Iranian players 2-1 in the second match.
They played the last match with the Palestinians on September 6. In the match the DPRK team beat the opponent 4-0.
As a result, the DPRK team scored nine points in total to win first place in the group and qualified for the 2027 AFC U-20 Asian Cup finals.
