Large numbers of labour innovators from across the country have enjoyed themselves in the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.

According to an official of the coastal tourist area, tens of thousands of labour innovators from hundreds of units have had a good time at the resort so far since the tourist service began this year. They include the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex, Pyongyang Textile Machine Factory and Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory.

He added that not only labour innovators from coal mines, mines and other industrial establishments but also scientists and researchers from the State Academy of Sciences, Academy of Agricultural Science and other research institutions have enjoyed civilization in the coastal tourist attraction and the number of such tourists is constantly increasing.

From the Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex alone, dozens of labour innovators including the tunnelling and coal mining workers, who overfulfilled their national economic plans for the first half of the year, came to the resort to spend pleasant days in Myongsasimni, a scenic spot of the East Sea of Korea, which is crowded with people every day.

Han Sok Chon, leader of the high-speed tunnelling workteam of Pit No. 2 of the Toksong Coal Mine, who enjoyed a pleasant time in the area, said that his joy defied description as he spent pleasant days of coastal tour with the pride of having overfulfilled the monthly tunnelling plan. And Ryu Hyok from the Namyang Coal Mine said that he was fully relieved of fatigue after spending good days in the world coastal tourist area set up in Myongsasimni, adding that he was going to come there again after achieving higher production results and becoming an innovator.

Labour innovators of the Chonma Taehung Mine, who overfulfilled their production plans every month by ensuring full operation of their machines, came to the resort together with their wives to enjoy coastal civilization to the full.

Upon arrival at the resort, Choe Nam Hyok, labour innovator of the Chonma Taehung Mine, said: “I could become an innovator thanks to the painstaking efforts of my wife who has always supported me unassumingly. Our mine sent me to the resort together with my wife as a commendation and I feel very proud of being an innovator.”
