Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the construction of the Samjiyon Mountain Tourist Resort and industrial establishments in Hamhung City.

Looking round various construction projects in the Samjiyon Mountain Tourist Resort being built in a grand way true to the Party's far-reaching plan and intention for the promotion of the people's wellbeing, the premier acquainted himself in detail with the construction and presided over a review meeting.

The premier said at the meeting that the success in implementing the Party's policies depends on the strong organizing ability and executive power of the officials, calling for successfully completing the planned project by making the most of the good construction time and simultaneously pushing ahead with the preparations for operation and service. He called on the relevant units to give top priority to supplying necessary equipment and materials.

At the Ryongsong Machine Complex, Pak Thae Song encouraged the workers of the complex who are making innovations in the struggle to implement the decisions of the plenary meeting of the Party Central Committee and stressed the need to steadily expand the successes by producing various kinds of custom-built equipment indispensable for different sectors of the national economy and pushing ahead with the second-stage modernization project in a three-dimensional way.

Looking round the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, he called for finishing the intensive overhaul of different production lines ahead of schedule, putting the fertilizer production on a normal basis and technically upgrading the irrational elements in a planned way.

Learning about the production at the Hungnam Pharmaceutical Factory, he said that officials of the factory should thoroughly resolve the problems by dint of science and technology, bearing in mind that the development of science and technology leads to the growth of production, and unconditionally carry out this year's plan for the production of medicines on all indices.

The field consultative meetings discussed the issues of ensuring the sufficient supply of materials necessary for the second-stage modernization project of the Ryongsong Machine Complex by relevant units, promoting steady and sustainable growth of fertilizer production and boosting the production of medicines and took appropriate measures.
