Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov censured the West for committing state-sponsored terrorist acts in a press interview on August 17.

Saying that the countries, which intend to maintain their colonial influence on Africa, are planning to commit terrorist acts in the continent, he noted that France, one of those countries, is supplying weapons and money to and training illegal armed organizations in Sahel and the Saharan region while directly dealing with them.

He also disclosed that the West is organizing and backing the operations of illegal armed organizations aimed at countries in Sahel and involving even the Ukrainian troops in them.

He condemned it as an international terrorist act targeting regional states, not an individual terrorist act.
