Needed: Minimizing damage by whims of nature

 Now disastrous abnormal weather often breaks in different parts of the world and our country is no exception.

Extremely high temperature, drought, flood, typhoons and other unforeseen natural disasters are getting more destructive and serious as time passes.

The reality in which the seriousness of climate change is highlighted day by day urgently calls for making more thorough preparations to cope with disastrous abnormal climate.

Therefore our agricultural sector pays primary attention to preventing the decay and degeneration of grains cultivated with so much effort and their waste.

To manure and cultivate crops in the latter half of their growth in a scientific and technological way is an important way to ensure the safe growth of crops and thus produce high per-hectare yields. Accordingly, scrupulous field guidance is given over the implementation of farming processes including the planting of after-crops and the manuring and cultivation of crops.

Efforts are also going into protecting grains from natural disasters while making meticulous preparations to cope with possible emergency situations, including flood and strong wind, in different parts of the country. In particular, the growth of crops has been surveyed and scientific manuring and cultivation methods have been introduced to raise their resistance to all manner of damage.

The agricultural, hydro-meteorological and agricultural scientific research sectors have closely cooperated to establish a scientific farming system and method.

Farming experience and lessons in the past showed that damage from natural disasters can or cannot be minimized according to how meteorological observation and weather forecast are done.

The hydro-meteorological sector has made a scientific analysis of the features of the expected abnormal weather and improved the accuracy of long-, medium- and short-term forecasts, thus informing the agricultural sector of forecast data quickly and correctly.

The agricultural scientific research sector has taken timely scientific and realistic agro-technical measures that can minimize damage from natural disasters according to the growth conditions of crops and sent relevant data to relevant areas and agricultural production units in time.

All sectors and units have preferentially secured and sent the rural communities the equipment, goods and materials necessary for minimizing damage by extreme weather conditions.
