The Japanese reactionaries are openly inciting the revival of militarism while negating Japan’s past crimes of having inflicted untold misfortune and suffering on Asian people.

On August 15, Prime Minister Takaichi made offerings to the Yasukuni Shrine where the name tablets of war criminals are kept.

Though she could not visit the shrine being afraid of criticism at home and abroad, Takaichi enacted the disgraceful scene of bowing to the direction of the shrine before taking part in the national memorial ceremony for the war dead.

That day, about 90 persons thronged to the shrine in groups, including the defense minister, the secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party, several other high-ranking officials and dietmen from the LDP, the Japanese Restoration Party and the like belonging to the supra-party dietmen’s league "Meeting of Dietmen for Visiting Yasukuni Shrine".

Praising those who met an ignominious death in the past war of overseas aggression as the “spirits of the fallen patriots who sacrificed their precious lives for the country”, they openly revealed their wicked intention to realize the wild militaristic ambition by invoking the spirits of war criminals. 

Such a reckless attempt of the descendants of samurai is drawing a strong protest and denunciation from the international community as it is an open insult and challenge to the peoples of the countries which suffered calamities due to the Japanese imperialists in the past.
