The 11th Asian Taekwon-Do Championship took place in Mongolia from August 3 to 9.

At the championship, DPRK players achieved proud successes of winning 99 medals including 75 golds and three trophies. 

Taekwon-Do players, who demonstrated the honour of the country at the championship, were greeted at Pyongyang Railway Station on August 14 by senior officials of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the government, officials in the field of sports, officials concerned, sportspersons and families of the Taekwon-Do players.

Sportspersons put garlands around the necks of the players and coaches and presented bouquets to them in congratulation of their successes.

Working people and students extended congratulations to the reliable sportspersons in streets of the capital city, waving their hands.

The Taekwon-Do players and coaches warmly responded to the cheers of citizens with a resolve to glorify the prestige and honour of the dignified DPRK with gold medals by putting spurs to the training.
