Our Workers’ Party of Korea, which regards it as its mode of existence and revolutionary climate to make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people, has given top priority to and regarded as absolute the demands and interests of the people in all policy making and implementation.

The Party’s policies are the people-first ones, whose starting point, formulation and implementation are thoroughly subordinated and oriented to the service for the people and whose vitality lies in their absolute people-oriented character.

Amid the transformation of the capital, provinces, towns and rural communities and a new revolution brought about in the sectors of education and public health, many changes have occurred in our people’s life. Still, the Party, not content with this, unveiled another grand blueprint for the modern transformation of the coal mining villages across the country.

What the Party is interested in the most in pressing on with its policies for the people is to create anything to be perfect enough to enable the people to enjoy greater benefits and the greatest pleasure.

Over the past five years alone, Songhwa, Jonwi, Hwasong, Rimhung and other new streets sprang up in Pyongyang to completely change the appearance of the city year after year. With the idea that there is no revolutionary work more important than to bring up children, the future of the country, healthily, the Party regards it as its most important policy and supreme cherished desire to provide them with more improved conditions for their upbringing at any cost. According to the measures taken by the Party, the children across the country are supplied with nutritious foods including dairy products on a regular basis. And the Party’s rural construction policy and regional development policy have resulted in the miraculous reality in which the countryside undergoes transformation.

Under the leadership of the Party which regards the appreciation by the people as the absolute standard and serving their interests and providing them with convenience as the supreme principle, a series of substantial changes and practical successes absolutely welcomed by the people have been brought about, making the people's laughter resound more loudly.

The Korean people are out as one for implementing the Party's policies, bearing in mind the ardent love and sincerity of the Party which intends to take upon itself without fail and unconditionally do everything that is for their wellbeing before discussing the possibility.

The unbounded enthusiasm of the working people for implementing the Party's policies can be felt everywhere in the country, including the areas of grand construction such as the construction sites of regional development policy projects and those of dwelling houses in the capital city and farm fields seething with enthusiasm for implementing the rural revolution programme in the new era.

Thanks to the leadership of the Party which regards the people-first principle as its political ideal, the country is more splendidly turning into an ideal one for the people and the people are enjoying a more civilized and happier life to their heart’s content.
