Russian FM lays bare anti-Russian hostile acts of the West
August 6, 2026Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a recent interview with the general director of TASS that now a serious situation has been created in which the whole Western world has joined in the fight against Russia.
The West has begun to talk about “strategic defeat” again, he said, noting that it forms various anti-Russian organizations in Europe and actively supports Russians who collect funds for a so-called underground struggle to divide the Russian Federation.
He also said Western countries announced that they would deliver modern weapons and produce new-type missile defence systems into which high technology has been introduced for Ukraine, adding that they have set Ukraine on to fight with Russia.
The West insists on maintaining the Nazi regime of Ukraine while sending an ultimatum concerning the settlement of the dispute, but Russia has not given in, he said, stressing that its national interests are independence as a great power before anything else.
