One day in August 2018, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected a combined livestock farm to provide people with tasty and nutritious meat.

He personally visited the farm in order to learn about the rearing of the new breed of pig he had sent to the farm a few days ago.

Looking round the research institute of the farm despite the sultry weather, the General Secretary gave instructions related with the breeding and clearly indicated the tasks and ways for building the institute into a centre for research into animal husbandry in the country and also the orientation of its research efforts.

At the experimental plots for fodder crops of the institute, he stressed the need to speed up the rearing of new breeds of pigs and widely spread them so as to provide the people with tasty pork as soon as possible.

Though the midday sun was boiling hot, he looked round the experimental field for a long while, acquainting himself with the growth conditions of fodder crops of good species and carefully examining the crops to see if they were damaged by the high temperature.

And then, he entered the block where several breeds of cows were kept and learned in detail about the situation of the farm.

When an official told him that he was sorry to have him visit the farm in the midsummer heat, the General Secretary said with a smile that his journey was for the good of the people.
