The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the Cemetery of the Fallen Soldiers of the Chinese People's Volunteers in Hoechang County of South Phyongan Province on July 26 on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and paid high tribute to the fallen soldiers.

He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Kim Song Nam and Ju Chang Il, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, Choe Son Hui, foreign minister of the DPRK, No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence, and Pak Jong Chon, adviser to the Ministry of National Defence.

The guard of honour of the Korean People's Army lined up at the cemetery.

The national anthems of the People's Republic of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.

A wreath in the name of Comrade Kim Jong Un was laid at the cemetery.

Comrade Kim Jong Un paid a silent tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers of the Chinese People's Volunteers.

Then he visited the grave of Mao Anying at the cemetery to place a flower and pay homage.

The ennobling soul and self-sacrificing spirit of the brave CPV soldiers, who shed blood to assist the DPRK people in the war of justice in the most difficult and fateful years, are clearly associated with the victory won by the DPRK people and they are shining as the foundation of the DPRK-China friendship with socialism as the core.

The DPRK people will never forget the services and heroic feats of the excellent sons and daughters of the Chinese people who unsparingly dedicated their hot blood and precious lives, fighting shoulder to shoulder with our army and people in the same trench during the unprecedented life-and-death fight for repelling the imperialists' invasion.
