Officials and members of the women's union met a DPRK Hero at the Hall of Women in Pyongyang on July 24 on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Present there were Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, officials of the women's union and its members in Pyongyang.

DPRK Hero Ho Ryong, a lecturer of the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, spoke at the meeting. 

He said that the young Korean People's Army could defeat the US imperialists who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world in the Fatherland Liberation War and develop into the elite ranks, while recording only victory in the decades-long history of the anti-imperialist and anti-US confrontation. This is because our revolutionary armed forces held in high esteem the great brilliant commanders and peerlessly great men in their van, he stressed.

Noting that the tradition of victory of Juche Korea is being firmly carried forward thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, he requested all the officials and members of the women's union to prepare themselves as genuine patriotic women and communist mothers who make positive contributions to the prosperity of the country and lead the correct growth of the new generations.

Speakers expressed their resolve to become true revolutionaries pushing forward with the comprehensive development of the country with pure conscience and boundless devotion, learning from the spirit of defending the country displayed by the heroes of the preceding generation.
