Senior officials of the DPRK visited the families of war veterans on July 23 and 24 amid the reverence for the victorious wartime generation deepening across the country on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet, other senior officials of the Party and the government and leading officials of armed forces organs warmly congratulated the veterans on Victory Day.

They talked about the boundless favour being shown by the Party for the war veterans, defenders of the great years and the paragons of life and struggle for all successive generations, who proudly wrote the first page of victory in the history of the DPRK.

It is the due obligation and duty of the descendants to respect the victorious wartime generation who showed in practice how to defend and glorify the country, the senior officials expressed thanks, on behalf of all the people across the country, to the war veterans’ families who are devoting their all to taking care of the veterans. 

The veterans earnestly asked the senior officials to remain loyal to the leadership of the Party Central Committee leading the country to eternal prosperity, extending heartfelt thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who brings the greatest glory and happiness to them while regarding them as dear teachers who made great history.
