Russia attaches importance to education
July 25, 2026Russia is paying national attention to education.
President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on attaching importance to education on July 20.
According to the decree, Russia acknowledges the position of teachers and the significance of the teaching which is conducted for the present and future generations with an eye to promoting intellectual, moral and cultural development of citizens.
Priority will also be given to letting teachers regularly visit national museums and sending their children to kindergartens.
The decree enables teachers to receive a series of assistance including a guarantee of getting free legal assistance related to occupational and social issues.
Such preferential measures will be funded by budgets of federal entities.
