Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryavkov expressed the stand to counter infringement on the interests of his country as he addressed a ceremony on July 6.

The Europeans’ remarks that they are willing to have a dialogue with Russia are nothing but a trick to divert attention, he said, adding that the militarization of Europe can be interpreted as nothing but the preparations for military aggression against Russia.

Russia has no plan of aggression and wants no dispute, but will counter any infringement on its vitally important interests and any attempt to converse with it in ultimatum-style rhetoric, he said.
