Excellent teaching resources of urban areas disseminated to rural communities

North Hwanghae Province is propagating and transferring excellent teaching resources to rural schools by organizing itinerant training courses taught by model teachers in Sariwon City.

At rural schools, the model teachers are explaining to teachers there teaching experiences of their own related to such issues as those that the latter should refer to in working out teaching plans and improving the effectiveness of theoretical and practical education to suit the psychological characteristics of students.

In Sinphyong, Suan and other counties similar teachers not only actively disseminated valuable new teaching methods among local teachers but also handed over to them necessary multimedia and reference books to give much help to the latter in the preparations for teaching.

While rapidly sending excellent teaching resources of Pyongyang to rural schools on a regular basis, the Nampho municipal education support program centre is synthesizing data on advanced teaching experiences from city and district schools to be disseminated to the rural ones.

Amid the methodological work to boost the collective enthusiasm for competition for ability and create opportunities for pooling creative wisdom, progress has been made in improving rural school teachers’ qualifications and the quality of their teaching in Nampho Municipality.

Foundations for experiments and practical training further consolidated

Sariwon City is putting big efforts into strengthening the foundations for practical education. 

Shortly ago, the city built laboratories and practical training rooms at schools in conformity with the enforcement of the optional subject system and organized an exhibition of apparatuses for experiments and practical training and teaching aids.

On display at the exhibition were well over 10 000 pieces of apparatuses for experiments and practical training and teaching aids. During the exhibition there were exchanges and discussions on the practical problems arising in the application of such apparatuses in teaching practice.

The exhibition further fired the enthusiasm of educational institutions in the city for competition for laying the foundations for experiments and practical training on a high level.

Haeju City learned about the provision of equipment and appliances for experiments and practical training at rural schools with the main emphasis put on training the students of the schools into talents capable of thinking and practising independently and voluntarily and has rendered positive assistance to them.

In particular, the public atmosphere of helping rural schools was enhanced on the occasion of an educational aid exhibition and dozens of kinds of apparatuses for experiments and practical training and information facilities have been sent to the schools.
