A spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry censured the US and EU for reviling the national policy of his country at a press conference on July 3.

The US and EU have expressed “concern” over the “law of the People’s Republic of China on national unity and promotion of progress”. In this regard, the spokesman said that China is a unified multinational state, in which different nations maintain the relations of equality, unity, mutual cooperation and harmony, adding that it is consistently prioritizing the protection of national cultures of ethnic minorities and legally guaranteeing the right of each nation to use and develop its own language and letters.
