A national exhibition of sci-tech achievements in the field of hydro-meteorology and oceanography opened with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex on July 3 under the co-sponsorship of the Korean Hydro-meteorology Society and Korean Oceanography Society of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Presented to the exhibition, divided into meteorological, hydrological and oceanographical panels, were over 200 pieces of data dealing with successes and at least 500 exhibits of over 300 kinds by dozens of units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and the State Hydro-Meteorological Administration.

During the exhibition there will be a presentation and examination of the proposals conducive to ensuring the scientific accuracy and promptness of the meteorological, hydrological and oceanographic observation and forecast and raising the level of modernization.

Present at the opening ceremony were officials in the field of hydro-meteorology and oceanography and relevant sectors and working people.
